Dennis Thurman (Fisk, MO) is here as a testament to the great structure and value of this event.  He travels the country playing tournaments, and made sure this tournament was on his schedule. He's done a good job of navigating this field in an under the radar fashion, but he can't hide anymore.

Tony Cheng would open the pot at Table 53 to 80,000.  After action folded around to Dennis in the big blind, he would make the call.  The two would see a flop of Jx 10x 7x, and after Thurman checked, Cheng would announce himself all-in (covering Dennis).  Dennis would quickly make the call for the pot worth close to 1,900,000, and he'd have a solid grip on the hand.  Thurman tabled 7x 7x (bottom set), and would be up against the Qx Qx of Cheng.  The turn and river would bring no help to Cheng, and Dennis would double to 1,925,000.  After absorbing the loss, Cheng would be down to 550,000.
