The players to receive the bonus so far in this event are Phuc Hoang with 553,000 (Day 1A) and Dan Wach's 693,000 (Day 1B).

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Quietest Table In Town
Level 13 (Blinds 1,200/2,400/300)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,797
The Big Stax Series had always been held in the clubhouse room, with tournaments moving into the main poker room on Day 2/Day 3. With the removal of the electronic blackjack machines and smoking prohibited in the room for the duration of the series, all of the Big Stax VII events are in the main poker room. The new tournament area boasts a large number of tables, some in spots where those defunct machines used to lie.
In the back corner of the room sits Table 63, seemingly far away from the rest of field. The area doesn't have much (if any) foot traffic around it, and seems a pretty tranquil spot. The table houses a handful of notables, some of which have been there the entire day. Here are some counts from what is now termed the "island table:"
Seat 1. Ilya Ekshtut - 38,000
Seat 2. Meghan Millburn - 140,000
Seat 3. Trevor Savage - 72,000
Seat 4. Mike Linster - 60,000

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Anna Gets All The Chips
Level 11 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,752
Stephanie Hubbard would be of assistance when she called over the media to witness the aftermath of the biggest pot of the day. Anna Antimony (River Vale, NJ) would flat a raise with pocket aces and get the dream situation. The flop would run out A♥ 8♥ 9♠, with Anna and the two other players in the hand getting all the chips in, with the winner likely to become the chip leader int he field:
Antimony: A♦ A♠ (top set)
Player X: 8♠ 8♣ (bottom set)
Players Y: Q♥ J♥ (combo draw)
The turn and river would run clean for Anna, eliminating her two opponents and giving her the massive pot. Antimony would need a few minutes to stack her new chips, but when things were cleaned up, she'd be the chip leader with 370,000.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Glantz "Seng-ing" The Blues
Level 11 (Blinds 800/1,600/200)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,728
Walking through the maze of tables, Matt Glantx was spotted walking away from Table 76. The hand would be recapped by Matt for the media: Glantz would open UTG to 2,500 with one player calling behind. Action would fold to DeeAngelo Seng (Blackwood, NJ), who would three-bet to 8,300. When the action returned to Glantz, he would put in a four-bet to 20,500, enough for the original flatter to fold. Seng would then five-bet to 44,800, with action continuing with a six-bet shove from Glantz (125,900).
Seng would take an extended period of time thinking about his next move, which would eventually be a call. It would be the K♠ K♣ of Glantz against the 8♠ 8♦ of Seng. Matt's lead would be erased quickly as the flop came out Q♠ J♣ 8♥. The 10♥ on the turn would bring Glantz some extra outs to come back, but the river 4♠ would seal the pot for Seng and make him the chip leader. DeeAngelo's stack stands tall at 360,000...the tallest in the room at the moment.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Nice Return From Break
Level 10 (Blinds 600/1,200/200)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,709
There would be two players standing at Table 81, both shorter stacks that were all-in pre. Mark Amabile (Warren, NJ) wasn't standing, but was all-in as well and had both players covered:
Amabile: K♣ K♠
Player X: A♥ J♦
Player Y: Q♥ Q♠
Runout: 7♥ 7♦ 5♦ 3♥ 4♥
Amabile's hand would hold and he would increase his stack by 70,000 only two hands back from break. Those newfound chips bring his stack to 175,000, which was just about average after the first two starting days. That number will change after the bagging process tonight, but it's a good barometer for players inquiring about where their stacks stands against the field.

It may sound monotonous, but this tournament offers up such value, that players are picking up from hours away and making their way here.
Charles Welch (Baltimore, MD) is a tournament pro from the state of Maryland, but has just landed himself at Table 48. Welch has over $67,000 in lifetime earnings, but his specialty is the chip lead bonus. His lifetime chip lead bonus figure is over $12,000, with a chunk of that coming from the $10,000 bonus during the Maryland Live! Poker Classic $3,500 Main Event.
Charles has a few friends here already, with Ryan Sentz already sitting with over 140,000.

Total Entries (Combined): 1,630
Players are now posting blinds of 400/800/100 in Level 8, with the total number of entries just north of 1,630. Players are literally walking over by the handful, getting back into the event immediately after busting. One thing to remember is that registration is open until the cards are in the air for Day 2 (12:00pm tomorrow). We have already seen the success stories of players buying in with 8-10 blinds and making Day 3...it's actually been a common occurrence over the past few series.

Level 7 (Blinds 300/600/100)

When it comes to Big Stax Series, Stephanie Hubbard (Tinton Falls, NJ) definitely holds one of the memorable moments. Hubbard made Day 3 of the Big Stax 1000 trophy event during Big Stax IV, but had a work conflict that wouldn't allow her to arrive at the start of play.
She would end up arriving with two tables remaining, and was able to navigate her stack to the final table, even with the amount that was blinded off over three hours. Stephanie would finish in 7th place in the event, earning herself $15,949, while keeping good standing at the workplace.
Hubbard is one of the bigger stacks in the field at the moment, sitting with just under 160,000 in front of her.

Alex Rocha (South Setauket, NY) is an actor, writer, vocalist, poker player, politician, enthusiast, alcoholic, narcissist, lover, hippie, vagabond, and only child. If you don't want to believe the words that are written, check his Twitter profile. The only thing to know prior to adding Alex to your Twitter feed is that the account should come with a PG-13 rating (at the least).
Rocha has $480,000 in live earnings, with his breakout score coming in 2011 when he won the $500 No Limit Hold'em Event during the Borgata Winter Poker Open for $150,000. Alex has been the model of consistency since, with (48) recorded results on his resume, including four cashes at this years WSOP.

Savage also has the distinction of winning Event 1 of the first ever series run at Parx. The $500 No Limit Hold'em event was part of the Parx Open Classic, attracting 164 and a prize pool of $79,540 (how things have come a long way!)

Total Entries (Combined): 1,422
It's not uncommon in a field of this size to see some large stacks pop up very early in the day. Kent Wuethrich is the first player in the field to eclipse the 100,000, scooping up a pot as we passed his table to chip up to 140,000. Kent's only recorded lifetime cash came here at Parx, when he finished 45th ($1,535) in last series' Big Stax 500 (Big Stax VI).
Some more big names continue to arrive on the later side, as word of the event continues to spread:
Mike Linster ($995,000 career tournament earnings)
Matt Glantz ($5,694,000 career tournament earnings)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,422

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): First Break Of The Day
Players are heading on their first break of the day (15 minutes), and they will be returning to Level 4 and blinds of 150/300/50. The total amount of entries currently sits at 1,374, with gives this tournament a prize pool of $391,590 (and it's only rising). The value in this $300 buy-in tournament is something that's not likely matched in any room across the country. It looks at the moment like the top prize for this event will be somewhere in the $85,000-$95,000 range (and that's a safe estimate).
Here are a few Twitter updates popping up during break:

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Returning With Jewelery
Level 3 (Blinds 100/200/25)
Total Entries (Combined): 1,346
Milton Jaffee was pictured and mentioned on Day 1A, pointing out the accomplishments he had to be proud of. There aren't many poker playing fathers that can say their son won a WSOP bracelet, but Milton watched as it happened this summer.
Jared Jaffee (Brooklyn, NY) has been around the tournament circuit since 2009, and reached many of the goals a player would set for themselves. Jaffee has numerous tournament wins to his name in major events, even adding WPT champion to his resume (WPT Best Bet Jacksonville) last year. One of the only things that was missing for Jared was a WSOP bracelet, and he was able to attain that late in this year's WSOP when he won Event #58 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em - Mixed Max).
Jaffee would take home $405,000 for his efforts, but more importantly get his hands on the coveted bracelet. Jared is currently seated at Table 11, looking to best his 5th place finish in the Big Stax 1500 during Big Stax II last year.

Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Seeing Some Twitter Action
Level 1 (Blinds 50/100)
Total Day 1C Entries: TBD
As the poker room continues to fill up with tournament tables, the Twitter-verse begins to heat up. It's still early, but Eddie Bryant is back in action after firing a bullet during Day 1B play yesterday, but failing to bag chips.
A Parx regular in both the cash game and tournament front, Frank DiRe also Tweeted his arrival, and followed with an update as he wins a sizable early pot with a full house against trips.

The tournament supervisor is just finishing up the rules announcement for the players already in their seats, and the cards are about to be in the air for Day 1C. Big Stax 300 (Day 1C): Big Day In Store
The combined total for the first two starting days of the Big Stax 300 is a staggering 893 entries. That's a prize pool of $254,505...for a tournament that had a $150,000 guarantee...before Day 1C even starts! The final starting day for any multi-flight tournament is always going to attract the largest field, has players now they have no chances to play afterwards (except if they want to buy-in before the start of Day 2).
Today is going to be no different, as flocks of players are expected to make their way into the poker room to try and claim their share of this massive prize pool. The action will begin at 11:00am and continue through Level 15, which ends somewhere around 12:45am. There are sure to be multiple bullets fired, as players empty out the artillery trying to make sure they bag chips for tomorrow. While the number to reach at the moment is 693,000 (held by Dan Wach), a new mark will be set today, with the chip leader at the end of play this evening receiving a $1,000 bonus for his/her efforts. The cards will be in the air just after 11:00am, with live coverage picking back up at exactly that moment.
