The combined total for the first two starting days of the Big Stax 300 is a staggering 893 entries. That's a prize pool of $254,505...for a tournament that had a $150,000 guarantee...before Day 1C even starts! The final starting day for any multi-flight tournament is always going to attract the largest field, has players now they have no chances to play afterwards (except if they want to buy-in before the start of Day 2).
Today is going to be no different, as flocks of players are expected to make their way into the poker room to try and claim their share of this massive prize pool. The action will begin at 11:00am and continue through Level 15, which ends somewhere around 12:45am. There are sure to be multiple bullets fired, as players empty out the artillery trying to make sure they bag chips for tomorrow. While the number to reach at the moment is 693,000 (held by Dan Wach), a new mark will be set today, with the chip leader at the end of play this evening receiving a $1,000 bonus for his/her efforts. The cards will be in the air just after 11:00am, with live coverage picking back up at exactly that moment.
