Big Stax 300 (Day 3): Sembler's Short Stack No Match For Valdez

Level 25 (Blinds 20,000/40,000/5,000)
Players Remaining: 21
Chip Average: 2,640,000

Bobby Sembler (Staten Island, NY) would come into the day as one of the shortest stacks in the field, and he was the last to arrive for Day 3 play.  He would actually reach a pay jump while sitting in traffic, but arrived to just over five big blinds.  Sembler would shove his remaining 205,000 from middle position, and get called by Juan Valdez from the small blind:

Valdez: A♣ 9         Sembler: 5 6

Flop: Q♣ 8♣ 10

Turn: J♠

River: 10

When the hands were tabled, Chris Lozak mentioned to Bobby that he liked his hand, but after the flop...not so much.  The turn would bring Valdez a straight, and Sembler would be eliminated in 22nd place ($3,037).
